A horrific shooting incident in San Jose, California has left 8 people dead and many severely injured. A person who led the firing in a light rail yard in San Jose, California, is also died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Santa Clara Country Sheriff’s Deputy Russel Davis has reported that the suspect was an employee at the Santa Clara Valley Transporation Authority (VTA) light rail hub. He has shared that many employees have lost their lives in this horrific incident.
The Investigation is Still Underway
Police spokesperson, Russel Davis, has asserted that sufficient data is not recovered yet. He has said there is no clear information about the motive of the perpetrator. The investigation is still in progress to state any valid or certain conclusion on this subject.
Law enforcement officials have not publically disclosed details about the suspect. As per the information available from records, his name is Samuel Cassidy, 57. Moreover, he worked as a smog check repair technician with the Bureau of Automotive Repair since 2003.
Besides, he also worked for a car dealership in San Jose. Officials are speculating that Cassidy broke the fire at a large structure listed to him while going to the worksite. It made the San Jose Fire Department respond immediately to the incident. However, the fire department couldn’t co-relate the two incidents.
