Attorney for Britney Spears has requested the court judge to schedule the next hearing earlier than the already decided date. Britney Spears is fighting against her father, Jamie Spears, to remove him as her co-conservator.
Britney Spears’ attorney has blamed Jamie Spears for misusing her estate. Moreover, he has held him responsible for the poor mental & emotional health of the pop star. September 29 is the date for the next hearing.
Mathew Rosengart, Britney Spears’ attorney, has requested Judge Brenda Penny to schedule the hearing this month. In his petition, the attorney said every day takes a toll on Britney’s mental and emotional health.
Early Hearing Could Free Britney of Mental and Emotional Tortures
Rosengart has said that the pain she experiences every day is avoidable harm. And it is good for her well-being if the judge allows the next court date this month to remove Jamie Spears as the co-conservator of her estate.
While speaking on this, the attorney said Britney Spears’ mental and emotional well-being is what matters the most right now. She has faced mental and emotional tortures under his father’s conservatorship.
Besides, Britney Spears’ attorney said Mr. Spears has not taken the best care of her daughter’s interests during the conservatorship period. Jamie Spears has spoiled Britney Spears’ interests, mental and emotional well-being, the attorney said.
On this subject, no comment has been posted by Jamie Spears’ attorney. Earlier, Rosengart filed a petition to replace Jamie Spears with Jason Rubin as Britney’s co-conservator. Jason Rubin is a CPA at Certified Strategies Inc. in Woodland Hills, California.
Britney Experiences Abuse in Conservatorship
Britney Spears’ attorney has said that the pop star has experienced abuse in the conservatorship period for the last 13 years. Earlier, the singer called the conservatorship “abusive” and a cruel way to end her freedom.
It is when she requested the court to end her conservatorship. However, Britney Spears’ attorney has gone one step ahead and called it a “Kafkaesque nightmare”. Rosengart said Jamie Spears had paid himself $16,000 per month from Britney Spears’ estate.
This sum is $2,000 more than what is allotted for her. Besides, her father also paid himself an additional $2,000 per month for his office expenses. Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, has also come forward to support ending Britney’s conservatorship and removing his father from her life.
She said Britney Spears’ relationship with her father only has fear and hatred. Rosengart said that Ms. Spears deserves the freedom and healthy living. So, he has requested the court to select the date for the next hearing earlier.
