And that is where this dystopian-like fantasy story “Game X” begins.

The protagonist of the story “Luke Salvatore” is a pretty average guy with a normal, albeit rather gloomy childhood. Just when he thinks that he is in college now and his life couldn’t get any worse, he wakes up one morning and finds himself in an unprecedented situation.
Horrified, yet determined to find the reason for his sole existence, he decides to search everywhere for any clues. Now when just finding yourself alone in this world wasn’t scary enough, just think about how you would feel when you find out that the fate of your world depends on you.
Watch the protagonist of this story as he sets out to find his partner in the inter-planetary games that will decide the fate of each planet. Watch their journey as they train for the mysterious games as representatives of Earth. Enjoy every chapter of the story as your understanding of the definition of “Game” undergoes a drastic change.
Overview
Game X: The Path to the Destiny is the first installment in the “Game X” series written by Karan Bansal. This first installment is a bewitching literary hybrid of part mystery and part fantasy. The whole story is a cornucopia of suspense, comedy and adventure. The sarcastic yet serious, nonchalant yet caring, and brave yet scared characteristics of the hero makes you fall in love with him.
I was sorry to see the first installment end, and I cannot wait for the second installment to be released. It is a great book and a fast read and I can read the book again and again. It is hard to find stories that are unprecedented and original, but this novel sets a great example.
Currently this book is available as an ebook and can be bought on Amazon Kindle for just $3. The first installment might become available in paperback version if demand increases. But seeing as most people are tech savvy and prefer ebooks, it was decided by the author to go with the ebook version.
About the Author
Karan Bansal is a multi-talented person who is not only a novel writer, but is also a graphic designer, game developer, and is pursuing Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is also the founder of Dranzer Studios which is a game development startup. Not just that, he has also launched a few games on Play Store, with more on the way.
The second installment of the novel is currently in progress along with a few more novels that he is working on simultaneously. When asked about if he ever gets worried about failing or not getting results, this is what he said: Your life is your movie. You are the hero, and ‘fear’ and ‘doubt’ are the villains. The power to stop and overcome them lies within you. How this story ends is up to you.
For his first novel, he has done a remarkable job. The story ends on a cliffhanger and leaves the reader yearning for more. If you don’t believe it, then go ahead and give this novel a try.
